Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of VioBot, including the VioBot Discord bot, the VioBot web panel and any related websites (together, the "Service"). VioBot is run by the team behind the Violet's Refuge SCUM server ("we", "us"). By inviting the bot, signing in to the panel or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using VioBot for a server or community, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for it.

2. What VioBot is

VioBot is a set of tools for running a SCUM dedicated server and its Discord community. Depending on how you set it up, it can post and manage messages in your Discord, read your server's logs and live data, and send admin commands to your game server through the connections you give it (such as ggCON, SFTP and a Discord bot).

3. Beta and changes

VioBot is in beta. Features may change, move between plans, or be removed, and there may be bugs or downtime. We may update the Service at any time. We'll try to give notice in the VioBot Discord before major changes that affect how you use it.

4. Who can use VioBot

• You must be old enough to have a Discord account in your country (at least 13, or older where local law requires) and follow Discord's Terms of Service.
• You may only connect VioBot to a SCUM server and Discord server that you own or are authorized to manage.
• If you buy a paid plan, you must be an adult or have permission from a parent or guardian.

5. Your account and your server

• Sign-in. You sign in with Discord. Keep your Discord account secure; anyone who can sign in as you can use your panel.
• Connection details. You're responsible for the server passwords, SFTP details and bot tokens you enter, and for making sure you're allowed to share them with VioBot.
• Your staff. You choose who can access your panel and what role they have. You're responsible for their actions in the panel.
• Actions on your server. Tools can ban, kick, message, teleport, change balances, spawn items or vehicles, remove bases and more. These happen because you or your staff told VioBot to do them, and you're responsible for them and for how they affect your players. Use dry-run and safety options where offered.
• Your players. You're responsible for telling your community that your server uses VioBot and for following any rules that apply to collecting your players' information. See the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use VioBot to:

• break any law, or Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines;
• harass, threaten, dox or spam anyone, including your own players;
• access or control a server or Discord you aren't authorized to manage;
• collect people's personal information beyond what's needed to run your server and community;
• try to get into another server's panel, data or settings, or around plan limits;
• probe, overload, reverse engineer, copy or resell the Service, except where the law allows; or
• run cheats, exploits or anything that would get your server in trouble with the game's publisher or your host.

7. Discord, SCUM and other services

VioBot works with services we don't control, including Discord, SCUM and your server host and admin tools (such as GGHost and ggCON). Your use of those services is covered by their own terms. If one of them changes or goes down, some VioBot features may stop working. VioBot is an independent, community-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord, the developers or publishers of SCUM, GGHost or ggCON.

8. Plans and payments

VioBot will offer a free plan and a paid plan. Prices, billing period, renewal and refund terms will be shown to you before you buy, and those terms will form part of these Terms. Paid plans will be processed by a third-party payment provider; we won't see or store your full card details. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, paid plans renew until cancelled, and cancelling stops future charges but doesn't refund the current period. We may change prices with advance notice; changes won't affect a period you've already paid for.

9. Your data

How we collect, use and protect information is explained in the Privacy Policy. You keep any rights you have in the content and settings you put into VioBot. You give us permission to store and process them only to run, secure and improve the Service for you.

10. Suspending or ending access

You can stop using VioBot at any time by removing the bot from your Discord and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for a server or user that breaks these Terms, puts the Service or other users at risk, or where we're required to by law or by Discord. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first. We may also end the Service as a whole, with reasonable notice where possible.

11. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Game data, logs and third-party connections can be incomplete or wrong, and tools act on the information they receive.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost in-game items, bases, vehicles or currency, lost players or lost profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$20 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we can try to sort it out informally.

14. Updates to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll post a notice in the VioBot Discord. If you keep using VioBot after an update takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
